Pre-dance III is designed for five-year-old children. The basic skeletal structure of the class remains the same as Pre-dance II, but all class elements are augmented and more refined: the children learn more ballet terminology. More work is done in the 3/4 meter, and the exercises on the floor include more back and abdominal strengtheners. Traveling steps are done with a change of feet and direction producing steps that resemble folk and character dancing. By the end of the Pre-dance III level, the children have really been dancing, and it is great fun!
